The Material
A Material Found Nowhere Else in the World
Triacetate, a material derived from wood, is a special material
produced only in Japan and nowhere else in the world.
Under the MAX MATERIA brand, we develop products
that bring out the full potential of its unique characteristics.
An Extremely Rare Material
Accounting for Approximately 0.007%
of Global Fiber Production
This material is finer than cashmere and more supple than silk,
combining exceptional softness with a distinctive, subtle luster.
The Craft
Every MAX MATERIA product is created by specialists in
material development, who bring together deep knowledge
and refined technique, with meticulous attention to every detail.
We use a fiber derived from natural wood pulp — the only one
of its kind in the world — and each piece is rigorously
inspected by a certified Towel Sommelier.
